In recent email communication with Daniel Morrison in Berlin, I was so excited to find out he and Uta have this fantastic Dulaney. They actually have it tied to this base to keep it in place.
He says, Although far from optimum, the heavy stone base of the a speaker stand seems to be the most
stable surface available for the piece... so there he proudly stands. We listen to a lot
of Mississippi blues, early rock 'n' roll, gospel, jazz and "old timey"
country... and sometimes, I swear, he seems to almost move to the rhythm.
They have the piece tied to the stand base with a small piece of twine to keep it from falling over or dancing away, but I took it out for the purpose of the photo.
They also have another great recent aquisition "man-frog" in the US which they are trying to decide how best to get to Germany.

If this piece was on a high shelf, you'd never know that another face existed when viewed from the top. The front view of this head has a bit of a sinister feel to it, whereas the top face seems somewhat whimsical and easy going. The side view shows how each can be seen at once. Just another testiment to the powerfully creative mind of Dulaney.
